A.K. Nairobi, Kenya
Background: Before connecting with Rise Beyond Height, A.K. faced significant barriers to education due to lack of accommodations and understanding at school. He felt isolated and uncertain about his future.
How we supported: Through our Education Support program, A.K. received mentorship from someone who understood his experiences, along with academic support and advocacy with his school to ensure proper accommodations were in place.
Today: A.K. is now thriving in his studies, has gained confidence, and is becoming a voice for inclusion in his own community.

Background: M.N. grew up feeling unseen and misunderstood. The stigma surrounding dwarfism made her hesitant to participate in community activities or pursue leadership opportunities.
How we supported: Through our Leadership & Empowerment program, M.N. attended training workshops, developed public speaking skills, and was connected with a mentor who encouraged her to step into her potential.
Today: M.N. now leads workshops in her own community, helping others build confidence and advocating for inclusion.

Background: When F.O.’s child was born with dwarfism, she felt alone and worried about what the future would hold. She didn’t know where to turn for support or information.
How we supported: Through our Community Outreach program, F.O. connected with Rise Beyond Height and found a community of families who understood. She received resources, guidance, and ongoing support.
Today: F.O. now supports other parents navigating similar journeys and has become an advocate for inclusive spaces in her local community.
